There is a relatively new application for drivers call GreenDrive developed by Road-Guard. GreenDrive was selected as one of the finalists in the European Union satellite navigation in 2008.
GreenDrive works suggesting more economical driving style for the driver. If someone is driving too slow or too fast, Greendrive tell if the driver needs to accelerate or reduce speed to always be close to lead to the optimal speed for fuel efficiency. GreenDrive can be installed on GPS navigation devices or mobile phones with GPS.
GreenDrive may also collect data on driver performance and enables then to analyze them through a web application - providing information to improve driving habits.
