Bell first to offer the BlackBerry Pearl 8230

Tags: Bell, BlackBerry Pearl Flip, Mobile Phone with GPSThe wireless provider Bell Canada has begun offering the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, becoming the first operator worldwide to offer this new phone, which comes with a GPS instead of Wi-Fi sensors and a switch to CDMA EVDO for 3G data.

The phone is priced at only $ 30 Canadian if buyers opt for a three-year contract that includes a minimum of $ 45 per month for voice and data services. The offer is valid until March 12.
Otherwise, buyers can get the phone for $ 350 with contract for 2 years or $ 450 with contract for 1 year. Freedom of contract costs about $ 500.

Other features of the Pearl Flip include a 2 megapixel camera with video recording functionality, Bluetooth and an integrated media player. Users can connect to Windows Live Messenger through the provider of the 3G data network, and access to HTML email. It comes with 128 MB of memory with expansion via microSDHC cards.
