Garmin Unveils First GPS Nuvis Pedestrian

Thenuvi 1200 and 1300 are the first devices to explicitly support Garmin GPS maps for pedestrians in urban areas, adding a pack of maps CityXplorer that not only provides directions to walk through a park and other areas beyond the limits of the road maps, but also show routes on buses, subway and other public transport. To help the user, the devices are considerably leaner than the Garmin devices only for cars.
The 1200 series is the smallest and comes with a 3.5 inch touch screen. The base model nuvi 1200, to $ 200 covers the 48 major states, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, while the nuvi 1250, with a price of $ 250 adds full maps of North America. The nuvi 1260T at a rate of $ 300, adds Bluetooth speakerphone functionality, and traffic updates for free for life.
The 1300 series adds a touch screen 4.3 inches wide, and expands on the variants of the 1200 series. The nuvi basis, $ 250, it has limited support for the United States as the 1200, while the nuvi 1350, for $ 300, added coverage of North America, as well as lane assistance function to assist in exits and intersections.
