Google Rleases Jaiku

Twitter is undoubtedly the king of microblogging, every day new applications are added advantage of its APIs and continued walking when other services like Pownce closed, or when others fall into oblivion asPlurk.
That's why Google has changed its strategy and as he had promised to release the platform under the name Jaiku Engine based on the Google AppEngine. Now is a free and open under Apache license at Google Code.
So you can play with the code and set up your own microblogging service.Of course it is not the only application of this kind, there are also other open platforms as laconic (a twitter clone with vitamins) and Web services like Yammer where there is no need to install anything, just set up your account with your own domain.
