Acer Would Launch Four New Smartphones in September, one with Android

Acer may be planning to launch four new Smartphones during the month of September. For now only know the names of their prototypes, A1, C1, F1 and L1, shown physically in the Mobile Word Congress. The first of these, A1, suggests that could lead Android operating system, while the other three seem to keep Windows Mobile.

The L1 will be manufactured by company or third MDG, in this case Compal. This means that Compal will design and manufacture the terminal, then sell it to Acer, a very common practice today. Compal will also be responsible for part of the production of F1 and A1, although the design is owned by Acer.
The C1 will also be manufactured by an ODM, but on this occasion will be Invetec the company chosen to do so. There are no clear details about technical characteristics, except that the F1 could be the version of Windows Mobile 6.5, together with a five-megapixel camera.
We will have to wait until September to see whether Acer launches five mobile or prefers to wait until year end. In any event, the Taiwanese company plans to go fully into the market for smartphones, and that is why and to Inventec Compal has left other competitors, Arima Communications, which is dedicated to producing models of phones and then sell them to big companies. We'll see who to choose for your Acer terminals 2010.
