Samsung SSD with SMX-K45. Why?

Well yes, I see absolutely unnecessary. A new video camera from Samsung called Samsung SMX-K45, whose main difference from other cameras is the storage medium.
While it is more usual to find camcorders that record on SD cards or hard disks (in the home and the tapes are a thing of the past), the SMX-K45 Samsung opts for solid state disks, known as SSD and offer a performance far superior to other media.
However, the recording is not HD, so that normal use of the camera is very far from being able to get the most performance to disc SSD. The resolution is called the standard 720 × 480 pixels, although the camera does include an HDMI video output. And 52 x optical zoom and a stabilizer for the stratospheric price is $ 500.
Do not see any sense. I tried many cameras Full HD (1080p at native recording), most function with normal SD cards (no poles or Class 10) and I've never had any problems. Implement an SSD camcorder is almost a waste of money.
Interestingly Samsung has also launched today the younger sister of K45, the K40-SMX has the same characteristics but with an SDHC slot and a great price much lower: $ 320.
Obviously the difference is so great that the launch of the K45 seems somewhat misplaced. And both work well. Even, you can put a 32GB SDHC for the K40 and have the same storage space.
Still no release date of both models, which come together to HMX-U10 (yes it is HD) as a round of news from the manufacturer today.
