€ 100 European stores lower the PS3 before the start of the new model

Online retail stores in Portugal and Spain have decided to lower the price of € 100 console PlayStation 3, bringing it to € 300. Both stores offer the current 80GB model, although the store also includes the Portuguese FNAC Infamous game with the bid.
It is presumed that the price reduction is due to the forthcoming presentation of a PS3 slim design that cost about $ 300 or € 300 in Europe. This redesign is the first major change to the PS3 outside the capacity of the unit since its launch in 2006 and reduced its size thanks to a smaller cell and RSX processors, as well as a cover designed from scratch to omit the hardware of the PS2 that was used for compatibility with earlier models. A 120GB hard drive will be standard.
While Sony has denied plans for a new PS3, the rumors about the presentation of a new model at the exhibition next week gamescom are becoming stronger.
