Magellan announces new advances in its Triton series, including a better user experience and product functionality of all devices and Triton GPS software Magellan VantagePoint desktop.The Triton series is the first line of handheld navigation devices designed with a super-strong combination of bright color screens and a pioneer in mapping capabilities in all Triton models for those who love outdoor activities.
Features of the new software:
* Base maps of North America, providing more roads, more places and better visualization of the maps.
* Improved communication between a PC user and the GPS unit.
* The ability to customize the user experience and gain quicker access to several functions with a single click
* Easier to add or change the settings with the keyboard and the ability to access the main menu from any page navigation.
In most devices, the Triton offers the ability to support up to 2000 waypoints, 20 trails and save 40 routes, the ability to start, stop and restart the track from the context menu, and the ability to return to the previous or pass to the next point during an active route.

Regarding the update of VantagePoint desktop software to customize the content of the Magellan GPS devices now features a redesigned user interface, including VantagePoint Lite alerts automatic software update, GPS records, improved display of maps, legends on the maps and the ability to edit the tracks.
