Motorola Droid, Smartphones Based on Android

Motorola officially announced its new smartphone based on Google's Android mobile platform, the Motorola Droid, who will be the main rival to the iPhone by Verizon.
New Motorla Droid is a slider phone with touch screen and is also the first phone to use Android 2.0, the newly updated version of Google's mobile operating system and includes a new web browser, support for Microsoft Exchange and other improvements.

Notably, the Droid also includes a beta version of Google Maps application Navigation, first application with detailed maps from Google: the service uses voice commands to provide constant operating instructions.
